Its called a 'New Media Communication Certificate' at SIAST and it includes things like web design, graphic design and digital movie recording. It's so I can can get more qualified in the area of work I'm already involved in and help me develop that role.

I hope you are able to get in there ASAP so you can start your course! Talk about disappointing.

Honey, supply and demand. If you want to have a decent education you must pay for it right now. Sorry you got caught in the crossfire.

Also you should know that some areas in Ontario have a starting wage of 70 000+ for teachers.

I don't even know what the wage is for those teachers here, if its not like it is in Ontario that's probably why its kicking off.

I hear ya... that sucks that PAYING (and often fairly broke-ass) students are being so affected. Not good at all... My internship is being affected by a strike at McGill right now, which I will blog about at some point.... but at least classes are continuing as scheduled..... at least, I *guess* I'm happy they aren't cancelled. Wait...no, I wish they were cancelled... Never mind -- strikes are good! ;) jk

Yeah.. I have benefited in some ways but I kinda just want to get my teeth into it now. I'm lethargic about starting a bit now due to the delay, like tomorrow I have no work shift so if there are no classes again I get a full day off but... Grr.
