"If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and
Just forget the world?

Forget what we're told
Before we get too old
Show me a garden that's bursting into life."

Sometimes I hate myself.

Thank goodness for house songs.

I know. I feel so terrible listening to the words, because they make me feel... well, you know. Knowing that you know makes it better, though, and reminds me that even in my emoest moment I am not alone. We are emo together. We even sing emo songs together. And that, Weifei Zheng, is priceless.

YOu and HIna and I need to hit up Senor Don Pablo's for a cake soon. I'll buy (but you ladies pay for your own drinks ;P.)

I bought that album just for that song. I found a few other good ones besides, but none as good as that one. It reminds me of missed opportunities and made me weep once.

The only thing worse than missing an opportunity is being an opportunity that gets passed by.

Yes, I can agree with you entirely on this point. Very sad.

I must be even less cool and emo, since I have no idea what the song is.

*laughs* I forgot to tag it, maybe? It's by Snow Patrol, a cool band they play on the radio a lot. I've heard it in Hina's room often and it's become one of those songs my housemates and I always burst into song to.

It kind of makes me smile because one day when we were ALL having awful days full of emotional conflict, three out of four of us had lyrics from this song as our AIm away messages -- and each of us had different parts! This led us to jokingly name it a house emo song, which reminds us all of our problems when we hear it, but makes us feel more together and able ot laugh about them at the same time. :)

i only know it b/c it's on EVERY TIME i turn on VH1 (which isn't all that often, b/c they play songs like...well, this). the video shows a guy laying in the middle of a street, at the top of escalators somewhere, generally in the way. i find myself rooting for someone to run over him or step on him to put him out of his (and my) misery.

but then, i'm evil.
