So this last weekend was unusually busy, and while there are some things I missed out on, it was a pretty freaking LA-tastic couple of days, and those tend to be kind of delightful

Thanks! I'm just happy we finally took the chance to get some real pictures of these things. We'd worn them a handful of times previously, for rehearsals as well as performances, but just didn't really get any pictures!

Ashley's over in Riverside, which is about an hour's drive from me. But she also lives right near a Cupcake Wars winner, so it's totally worth the trip. :D

those XXXhoLIc photos look really great! That's cool that the Kyoto Grand is so cool about cosplay. Good plan staying overnight! I've never actually stayed there but have wanted to for a while.

We stayed there once for AX, and Ashley got some Bleach photos in the garden. I think we'd really like to get some photos of our Blade costumes there sometime.

And what we would really like to do is get into one of the Japanese styled rooms sometime and do photos there, but they're kind of pricey. If you'd ever want to go in on that with us, I think we'd welcome the company! But the garden was gorgeous and the lobby was just so fantastically xxxHolic-y... I'm looking forward to getting those photos back quite a lot!

I don't know if I mentioned this, but the "I have a California State ID!" rate for the tatami suites is 110.00 a night. So what we really need to do is find someone with a state ID, get a tatami suite for 2 nights, and just pile everyone who wants pics in and out.
