Thanks for the post...I never really got into Utau because the songs I heard were all pretty bad or uninteresting and most of their voices sound like autotuned harmonicas or electronic bees to me, but I've been -trying- to like them, it's just I have no idea where to really start because there are like 3 million of them.
However since listening to this post I think I quite like Nene and perhaps Yufu.

Well, yeah, there's quite some crap to wade through, but the good stuff's certainly there. Other than sticking with the more well-known Ps I mostly look at the stuff that gets sponsored - it's no guarantee that the song will be good, but usually they're not utter crap either.

Fantastic. I really wish I could keep up with UTAU more, but it's all I can do to stay on top of the ranking itself at present.

Wouldn't blame you for that, especially with the bigger crap-to-good-stuff ratio with UTAU. And you already have the Vocaloid weekly roundups to do - describing songs is actually pretty hard, eh...

It would probably help if I had any decent musical training, or possibly a thesaurus.
