Well, this was going to be the weekly roundup, but then Nicovideo went absolutely insane. It all started, very innocently, when onyuu-P released a pop song full of daniwell soft tones and beepy percussion and soft piano, of Miku reciting the Heart Sutra:

Yeah, I didn't understand why all of these mixes were showing up on the countdowns. Well, I still don't tbqh... it's not a catchy song and none of the remixes are catchy, so where's the viral value? Something related to the cultural value of the Heart Sutra?

I think it's kind of brilliant, honestly. The original song isn't the best ever, but it's cute catchy earfluff and the ability for Nicovideo to launch itself at a meme with a huge pile amazing remixes in all of three days will never fail to make me smile.

I just logged on Nico yesterday.
And Heart Sutra... everywhere.
I can't tell if I find this more fun or annoying.
Fun because WHAT WILL THE NEXT REMIX BE!?!?!? and annoying because it's clogging the daily Vocaloid chart...

And yet I find myselflistening to most of the remixes anyways... orz
