Can it be? Yes! This is a post that's up before Monday! (This means the translations will be terrible and we won't have any post-ranking videos. SCORE

Haven't listened to the other songs yet, but oh, ARiA. I love the song, and the PV is nothing short of gorgeous, but... iiiidk. Something about the Miku model seems to be lodged pretty firmly in the uncanny valley to me, and I can't really enjoy the PV as much as I think I should because of it.
I can certainly see what you mean. Putting Miku in weirdshit outfits seems to be something of a Toku Speciality (tm), from SPiCa's bizarre wedding dress thing to super-Clamp-style Gumi in Blue Bird.
It really wasn't just the weirdshit outfit (though that was certainly part of it). I understand how difficult it must have been to make a model that looks that good to begin with, but it still just... misses the mark, idk. It's really obvious where they recycled poses/animations, like in all the sequences where she's flying, only part of her hair seems to be capable of moving, and she really doesn't make more than two facial expressions throughout the whole thing.
It is an amazing PV and very nice to look at, but... Well, maybe I've just gotten too used to the less-fancy PVs that actually seem to tell a story, but the whole of it (from the lifeless, lolified Miku model to the random English subtitle) just seems primed and polished to be an instant chart-topper, and that kind of destroys the illusion of the detailed, sci-fi world the PV's setting makes itself out to be.
tl;dr this PV could have been so much more and I am disappoint.
I think, if anything, the bit that annoys me most is the massive amounts of framing around the video. It takes over half a minute to even get to the music; that bugs the hell out of me.
The video itself... I guess you're right, yeah, though it's not really something I'd taken into consideration. What impresses me more (and caught my attention more) than the model itself are the huge cityscapes and backgrounds and the 3d work, such as the soaring skyscrapers or the crazy electronic seal thing. The Miku model herself I can take or leave - I've seen plenty of videos where you've got a model making a maximum of about three faces, so that's something I wave a hand at and gloss over by now. (See also: Holography. I really like it even though the PV is, essentially, Gumi standing on a train or something.)
Loving Amaretto. Though their personalities don't make much sense together from my point of view, I can't get enough of their voices together. Kinda makes me wish it was a popular pairing just so I'd get more duets between them.
If youre looking for a Luka-Len duet, then I can think of one that I enjoyed call Pygmalion. It's about the actual legend. But there are so many Vocaloid songs that there must be more, right?
A few have cropped up - the most notable recent one off the top of my head would be AVTechNo's free from a rather large number of posts back - but it's not the most common pairing around.
Tooookuuuuu I haven't cared for his last few songs, so I'm glad ARiA did not disappoint. Though the 30 seconds or so before the actual song annoyed me.
Finger Promise is my second favorite for the week. Feels in the same vein as Marionette Syndrome. Though due to this post I'm currently listening to relation key.
Dammit kous. I really liked the first half of that song but then it really does just turn into this horrendous mushy mess and it sounds like the vocals and the instrumentals suddenly become COMPLETELY UNRELATED. I wanted to like it but... :|
