So... yeah, I was going to hold off until Sunday. But then this strange Vocaloid Renaissance happened. The start of the week was filled with amazing songs from the usual crew, a whole selection of fantastic, and that padded out my list dramatically. Then came the new ones! A sudden frantic rush to provide songs for Miki, Sensei and Loli has caused

It appears so. (Also, the last thumbnail of the post makes me think of Zetsubou-sensei.) Still, that's roughly like saying that something is more effective than a chocolate teapot...

Miki's songs are all pretty damn solid. I wonder if we'll see a lifecycle like Gumi's, where people suddenly drop off? Hm.

Well, to be fair, most of the male Vocaloids aren't that manly if you think about it.

Sob, I followed Gumi's tags everyday after she was released. I really liked the fact that Megumi Nakajima got a Vocaloid but it's hard to find any songs I like with her. I really hope that won't happen with Miki since she has good songs so far at least :(

I am holding out hope for Big Al to be a paragon of manly.

At least Gumi is now enjoying a meteoric rise in popularity as everyone and their dog suddenly makes songs for her. I expect they'll all even out soon enoug except for Gakupo and maybe Yuki, who are kind of edge cases.

Oh by the way, DeP's song is not about the music really. Not this one. It's all about the lyric. That lyric is so epic. xD

Hahahah, it's certainly... interesting. I'm prepared to let it go for now because I guess people are experimenting and trying to see how well he does at different registers. If it's to build up a picture of what pitches each bot can do I guess it's okay.

Also I am totally diggin' on the new guys. The badass Miki pseudo-Chinese song is especially nice, and I love Sensei's SECRET ROCKER SIDE. The Yuki song is--kinda weird, but it's neat they're doing weird things with her, hahaha.

p.s. badass rocker-by-night Sensei has been nicknamed "Icemountain Teru," and the proposed name for the Kaito/Gakupo/Len/Sensei band is "Bananaicemountain"
