I guess that the place is supposed to be warded against standard teleportation? If it is I’d look for a window - never take more trouble than necessary ( Read more... )

Where ARE you? you only show up just as I'm getting dinner out of the oven!!!!

Over here, you have the exterminator in BEFORE there's a problem - or rather, around. He sprays the foundations outside to keep bugs out of the house, he checks for termites and if there is evidence of rodent activities he will either set poison (which we don't allow since it's warfarin that can poison the cat if she nibbles on the dead critters) or rat-catcher traps (baited with peanut butter because rodents LOVE peanuts - guess which lucky family member is the one selected by majority vote to remove the used traps from the premises... go on, guess).

Answer to the question asked ...

Is there anything in the room with you? if so, break it in half. Since two halves make a (w)hole, you climb out the hole. Problem solved.

I'm curling up laughing, here - that's better than my answer.

I've been in a set of fixes, including nasty eye trouble and now I'm desperately trying to clean a kitchen that had mice, cook a meal on decontaminated bits and write to keep this character in Theatrical Muse (the only chance left to write him.) I'll be back and chatting later and I hope you'll be around.
