I so wish this were canon. I love Laura, Billy friendship and momma bear!Laura. I'm so glad Billy got to see the truth about Dee here. Awesome.

Right?! One, Laura would have known this was not for him. Two, Billy could not have been so smart as to know Laura's every thought and need and still been so stupid personally with Dee. I know Paul Campbell wanted out and that's why Billy died but...waaaah. That was one of their few ways early on of showing Laura's humanity in the early seasons.
