Thank you!! I've only written Claude one other time, so I wasn't sure if he was too soft in this, so I'm glad you thought it turned out okay! Seriously, thank you for reading :)
I remember you telling me--the one with him stealing from Eden *nods*
Yeah I wanted to do something with Claude for a while now. Not sure if I pulled it off, but what the hell, I tried. I'm kind of afraid I woobified him too much, though :/
You did pull it off, you have his voice perfect. Nope, no woobification. He's really testy but he did get "fired" becuase he was trying to help others.
Oh, this was really good. I miss Claude! (It also makes me want to dig Thompson up and punch him in the face. And then maybe let Bennet shoot him again. And then punch Bennet in the face for going along with it for so many years.)
I especially liked the bits of Sandra in this. Until "Company Man", she kind of irritated me because she seemed too ditzy and annoying. But after she found out what Bennet really did with his days, I felt like she wasn't an idiot accepting whatever treatment her husband dumped on him - she might have appeared ditzy, but she was strong underneath and she was able to understand and accept why Bennet had hidden so much from her, and to put her family first. She just wants to live a happy, quiet life with her kids, like a number of the special people we've seen, and that was what I saw from her, here.
Thank you so much!! Yeah, I've been itching to do some Claude gen for a while now....I really wanted to go into his partnership with Bennet, and how he interacted with Bennet's family. Like, I have visions of "Uncle Claude" and him doting on Claire and Lyle (Claire especially, since she's a special and I can see Claude being really protective of her, especially in the early years when Bennet was still pretty much ambivalent).
I love Sandra. I think she's a really strong woman, and she keeps everyone grounded, including Bennet. I think if Bennet lost her, he'd go off the deep end. Really, Bennet and Sylar are very much alike, and I think without his family I could see Bennet turning into something even darker and more frightening.
Oooh, Momo and Niki gen! What's wrong with that? It's Momo! And Niki is okay when she's not whining. *nods* I take it you're taking a break from the zombie fic? Dammit, I wanted to read the haircut scene!! :D
Ooh, I like the idea of the empath looking like River. I enjoy being able to put faces to OCs, it helps me imagine the flow of the scene a bit better. And River sounds like a perfect match for this particular OC.
This was so well done! I loved the parts with Sandra, especially--the juxtaposition between Bennet's work life and home life is so stark. And you've got her voice down just perfectly.
Thanks babe!! Yeah, it was starting out like a cracky Heroes/Firefly crossover, but I changed some stuff and made it gen :) Firefly's such a great show! I'm sad that they canceled it. Booo.
Ohhh, a Heroes/Firefly crossover would be great fun to read! You're right, Firefly's cancellation goes down as one of the stupider moments in TV history, I think.
