Poor Claude! And poor HRG too, it has to be incredibly difficult to have to carry out missions like those, no matter how "morally gray" one may be.

You would think that maybe Thompson would install a heat-sensitive camera in his own office just to make sure Claude wouldn't be able to listen in on conversations like this. :p

I liked the little details in this, like Claude throwing up and Claire licking peanut butter off her hands. Nice job! :)

LOL yeah. In my mind he *did* have heat-installed cameras, but it's automated and no one's on the other side watching the tapes. That's my logic, anyway :)

This is a lovely company fic. Claude's in the room when HRG gets the kill order...it's a really interesting idea, I loved it. I felt sorry for Claude and I loved the ending, it was touching. Really good work...

That was so well-handed.

It occurs to me how much Bennet meant as a person to Claude. He was one of his rare friends, and he thought he was a good man. Well, imo, he is but he saw a person where the Company saw an extension.

Poor Claude. No wonder.

Thank you! I love Claude. I think he's misunderstood. Bennet was probably the only real friend he had, and for Bennet to turn around and betray him like that....well it's no wonder he became so misanthropic. Poor thing :)

I like the way he found out. And even though Bennet was given the order to kill he only did by accident. Oh man can you imagine if they started working together again? :O

Ooh, I don't know about Mama P. I just remember in Company Man Claude was like, "What if who I was protecting was your daughter?" Maybe the Mama P thing was in the GN?
