And okay, you're seriously making me want to learn Old English. ...My next dead language was going to be Ancient Greek, but I suppose Old English is easier to learn coming off of Old Icelandic and Latin.

Of course, I might just reread Egils Saga instead. ^^;

Old English basically = German + Latin. If you've got a nice Germanic language in there plus Latin, you're good to go. Very easy.

(Unlike Greek, which grammatically isn't particularly difficult, but the morphology and vocab? Not so fun. Speaking as one who has taught Greek!)
