Strange improvements in technology: The ATMs here are all spiffy and new. You no longer need deposit envelopes, for example. Instead, you feed in the check, it scans it, puts a picture of it up on the screen, reads the amount on the check and asks you if it's correct. You wouldn't have liked dinner here. I had whole wheat pasta with parsley, garlic, and parmesan, with sauteed vegetables (there's so much local produce right now! Yay summer!).

Of course, later, there will be cake. The cake's not even a lie! :)

I'm glad you liked your gross dinner. :P You probably wouldn't have liked mine, but, hey, they had vegetarian options. Like salads and spinach/feta pirogi. (I think they had extra things on the Russian-language menu that the Americans don't want. Like kvas. Which, granted, I have never drunk (is alcoholic), but it smells like the most disgusting thing ever.)

... is the cake also delicious and moist?

I wish we had them in Massachusetts; I think they're much easier to use.
