This got started when lysimache told me that she read on a list that there should be a crossover where Mulder and Scully visit Smallville. And then I said, "What, then he tries to kill the mayor?" (The Smallville mayor is played by the guy who played the Cigarette-Smoking Man.) And suddenly we find ourselves wanting to write an epic mytharc-y post-series

The means to stopping the colonization has to be a vaccine -- and if the one Scully is working to develop is based on Kryptonite, unlike the Russian vaccine, which was a weakened form of Oilien, right?, it would work on a different principle. But Kryptonite is dangerous to humans even as the Oiliens are -- mutation causing. So there's maybe some ethical/scientific issues in trying to prepare a vaccine using it. How are they going to deliver it, anyway? Subvert the bee system? :)

Hey, what about the thing that uglified!Spender injected Scully's kid with that supposedly rendered him normal? Does Scully's kid in his powers and alien nature have some relation to Clark?

Can Ma Kent run away with Lionel? :P
