It's 4PM, I haven't even started packing yet and... more than ever I pray Japanese customs won't bother opening my luggage at arrival ( Read more... )

Whahaha, 8kg of chocolate!? That's amazing. xD If they give you trouble about it in Japan, you could always just say that it's all "omiyage", then they'll probably understand. xD

Putting heavy stuff in your carry-on is probably the safest bet if you're worried you have too much. I've never had the weight of that really checked, so last time I brought about 16kg of carry-on luggage altogether, spread over one small suitcase, one shoulder bag ("laptop bag") and a purse). ^^; As long as you're able to lift it onto the luggage racks in the plane by yourself. xD

Have a safe flight!!

Yup, so much chocolate! O.o!! Yeah, I kinda figured I should just explain it a omiyage, which wouldn't even be lie. About 80% of the chocolate I'm bringing is meant to be distributed to other people. xD

Yeah, I just transferred all the food to my carry-on and I'll see what happens. As I said, even if they force me to check it eventually, it'll still be within my free luggage allowance, so I'm not too worried about it.

Yay! I'm sure it'll be all right then >w<

Do you know how to get to my place, btw? It's not that hard, just take the Keikyu line to Shinagawa, then the Keihin-tohoku line for one stop to Oimachi, and then the local Oimachi line from there. ^^

(Well, technically there IS a faster route, but it involves walking for about 10 minutes from Keikyu Kamata to JR Kamata station, so I wouldn't recommend that one with a big suitcase ^^;)
