So, I've been reading a bunch of books, but failing to finish them.
I don't know what's wrong with me, I've never had this problem before.
But anyway, currently I am somewhere in the middle of:
Everything is Illuminated  bv Jonathan Safran FoerI'm not sure why I can't finish it, other than the fact that it is a rather taxing read. I mean, it's ( Read more... )

YAY FOR ENDLESS NIGHTS!

Death and Dream and Desire are so hot. Oh and-- could you please please bring it in one piece on Wednesday? It is one of my most prized possessions, as is understandable. =D

I'm borrowing Wicked next after you, after I finish with my bookpile. The musical's supposed to be quite good too.

I was assigned A Prayer for Owen Meany for my AP Lang class, and... well, the last 200 pages of the book are amazing. It's too bad that the whole thing is over 600 pages long.

600? Really?
I distinctly remember it being shorter...
But no, Amazon tells me that my version is indeed 640 pages long.
Wow, when did that happen?
Also, it was a very bizarre book to read, because I had seen the movie Simon Birch before, and I kept wondering why the book had so much in common with the movie but at the same time, not. I didn't realise that the book was based on the movie, so I kept thinking Simon Birch was an adapation that had been sanitised and watered down or something.

Nice job, Sharmin.

But I read the book first, which is probably why I think I have the right to make fun of you right now.

No, because the movie is the source material.
You always go for the source material first, which means that people, for example, who watched 2001: Space Odyssey before reading it, or who saw Closer in theaters before they saw it in the movies have the real bragging rights.
Alas.
But having source material bragging rights depends on actually knowing which one is source material, so you can go ahead and make fun of me for that. :D
