I know of several who will be there, and I have yet to know of others who might go without announcing it. The nature of Home Economics always seems to make gentlemen wary of showing everyone their true intentions, after all.

Well, some gentlemen find it rather feminine, I suppose. Why that is, I've no idea. Statistically there are more male chefs around than there are females.
