It seems as though I needn't worry about finding something to wear to the gala after all.

I've never been to any sort of social affair before. I've a general idea as to what's done at these sorts of things at least. And it will be, at the very least, an evening spent out of the dormitory and in good company.

What is all this over the network about a gala?

I'm supposed to write about my career week. I've been writing about it, so I'm not certain what more I can add. Other than I'll be staying on at the morgue as an assistant. A paid assistant.

Perhaps I should have majored in science after all.

Well, I think Kadaj's radio show has gone splendidly so far. Why, he should make a career of it. He's a natural.

Industrial accidents are ridiculously messy. I just spent an hour up to my elbows in what I can only call 'pulp'. One would think that humans, being such fragile creatures, would take more care to not place themselves in the path of powerful machines.

I do wish the University had a bathtub somewhere.

I really don't understand the fuss over exotic dancing. Women have danced provocatively for entertainment and pleasure since the dawn of time - there are depictions of unclothed female dancers in sexually stimulating positions on the walls of tombs. All of this uproar over a handful of murders. I really don't understand it. It isn't as though there's a madman loose on the University grounds. Murders happen everywhere, all of the time.
