Question: Simpe and genetics

Sep 04, 2011 22:55

I've been looking for a tutorial for changing sims genetics in new version of SimPE. I found instructions for hair and eyes, but I'm mainly interested in facial features and I've had no luck there... Any help will be much appreciated!

simpe, genetics, sims 2

You can't change facial features the same way as skin/eye/hair genetics. You either have to use ingame surgery and then make it genetic (tutorial here, pictures unfortunately missing but the instructions should be enough), or make a dummy sim with the desired facial features, extract the facial features, and replace the features of your main sim in the same way as with surgery.

Hmm.. I think I wrote the question wrong :/
I meant the 'dominant' and 'recessive' lines in the sim DNA. There's option for facial features but I'm too afraid to touch it. For example, I'd like to make my elf's ears dominant but only features marked as 'dominant' are jaw and nose.

Oh, okay, I'm sorry. D: I don't know how to change those, or how they even work. Now I'm curious, too.

The dominate line lists the facial features that are guaranteed to be passed on to offspring, unless the spouse has the same features listed; than it's 50/50. The recessive line lists facial features that will never be passed on to offspring, unless the spouse has the same features listed; than it's 50/50.

I'm 90% sure that how it works.

cheers,
