Prosperity Challenge - 12.3 (Days/Years 34-36 - Ebadi and Thigpen 2)
Ebadi
Not to be outdone by the Koepples (Ria's family of origin) and Thigpens, Amar and Ria decided an upgrade was in order for them as well. (This one is a duplicate ofquinctia 's Classics II.) Unlike the Koepples and Thigpens, however, the Ebadis aren't quite rich enough to build a house like this comfortably.
Therefore, the maid has been reduced to confiscating property for his payment.
Oh, thanks. Last time this happened to me, the nanny took a toilet. The toddler needs her potty, you monster.
Anyway, when we last visited the Ebadis, Eliseo was trying to woo Denae Thigpen, with no success. Here he is, recreating his failure with another girl.
Eliseo takes matters into his own romance sim hands and calls the matchmaker.
Here's Kendra. They seem to know each other already, which can't hurt his chances.
"So."

"What do you want to do?"
"I don't know, what do you want to do?"
Oh teenage dating, I do not miss you.
Problem solved?
Hmm, so what's everyone else up to? Ria and Freckles are bonding.
Audria is watching and being cute (and a little scary looking around the mouth).
Ah, I see Amar is home from work. *Backs out of the room*
Eliseo and Kendra have moved on to less lascivious first date activities. Eliseo has the flattest forehead ever.

Ria's not always as bright as she makes out.
Eliseo is actually a really good big brother. It's Audria's birthday!
Say goodbye to the days of footie-pajamas!
Ta da! She looks a lot like Eliseo, I think. I just realized that both she and her brother have names that are expansions of names of other sims in the neighborhood - Ria, and Eli.
Ria has a maternal moment. Eliseo is really not sure about this hugging his mom thing - he's trying so hard not to touch her.
Yeah, he didn't like that. (I love bitchy Eliseo.)
Audria has an adorable and seasonally appropriate outfit.
Since Freckles was mostly raised by Eliseo, he's adopted some of his personality. (Note Ball of Stink over the pet bed...for the longest time I didn't realize that meant the bed was dirty, haha.)
See? Bitchy.
"Good kitty. Good minion. Remember: first gain their trust, then bite."
And for a stirring climax, here's Audria eating a bowl of macaroni and cheese by taping a spoon to her knuckles and shoving it into the side of her face.
Thigpen 2
Gwen loves her new job as mayor, but hates the ostentatious helicopter that comes to pick her up for work. Winterfell is hardly big enough to require such a ridiculous method of transportation.
Emanuel's hard work at creating new and inventive recipes has finally come to fruition.
He has acheived his life-long dream of becoming a celebrity chef. His new show, "29 Minute Meals", has been picked up by the Sims Food Network (SFN). Maybe with two big earners in the house, they can finally get ahead financially. They've never been good money managers, though.
Gwen's funny little electronics store in the backyard has been doing well, even in terrible weather conditions.
Not everyone is susceptible to her sales pitches, though. Nevada doesn't cave to pressure easily.
Gwen and Emanuel decided to plan a party celebrating Denae's graduation and move to Academie Le Tour.
Most of her friends and family came - even Eliseo, with whom she'd managed to become friends. (He finally got it through his head that there was no possibility of romance, though.)
She and Taylor Haynes snuck off and privately declared their commitment to each other. Denae knew it was mostly symbolic - going steady didn't mean much once you were at college - but she wanted him to know how she felt. Who knew what the future would bring?
(Aww.)
Soon it was time to say her goodbyes. Denae wished her mom luck in politics and told her to remember to eat a meal at home once in a while.
Her dad told her to remember to take her vitamins and call every day.
She and Taylor didn't talk much...
And just like that, she was gone. (My baby! Sniff.)
"Now," Emanuel said, "where were we?"
(I think they're ok with having the house to themselves for a little while.)
