Augh, I don't know what's going on! My computer's acting slower than it ever has before; it freezes occationally when just surfing around, and The Sims lags insanaly much

I've read your legacies, so far they're both pretty awesome. I'm also rather obbsessed with sims, but far too lazy to start a legacy or upload anything. So far I'm just planning to use my livejournal for my art.
Anyway, you could try getting rid of the custom content you dont use, getting a new graphics card (helped me SO MUCH!) or getting a ram upgrade.
Aww, thank you! :) I've been playing the game quite obsessivly for years, and playing a legacy has been an incredibly interesting experience! You start to pay attention to so many new details when you're zooming in to take photos, and I've gotten a newfound interest for house building and decorating which I never had before. :)
Could I afford it I would totally get a new graphics card and more RAM, and hell, I'd get a brand new computer! XD Alas, my student funds are not exactly allowing me to do that. D: Meh. But what's annoying is that it was working just fine for ages, then gradually over less than a week it went from good to hell. Just like that, with no explanation. :/ But I've tried to empty out some CC and some other files on my computer to speed it up, but it doesn't seem to help much. Ugh. It's only a year and a half old, it should have plenty of life left to it!
I know what you mean about how these things are too expensive. I searched amazon.com until I found a good card I could afford. (Actually, they did have some pretty amazing deals. You should look around there)
Also, if you delete programs that take up a lot of space outside of sims, that could help. It will free up memory for your simmies.
Speaking of which, have you ever heard of the CCleaner?
IT. IS. AMAZING!
It deletes all that useless spam crap from your computer, and worked miracles for my game!!!! Free, and so very useful! (God, I sound like a freaking commercial!)
