When you mentioned that specific line, I had to smile, especially when I read the rest of your comment. It was in that stanza that I hoped to establish that this was coming from Orlando's POV. It was my subtle reference to how young and innocent he was when he arrived in New Zealand and how, in my little world at least, he relied on Sean to guide him through all the pitfalls of fame that were ahead of him.
Things have been rather hectic for me (you can read all about it in my detailed reply to ireth06) but I have no complaints. Life's just been generally busy of late, and I've had very little computer time because my husband has started work on his Doctorate. We recently got a new computer, however, and since I no longer have to fight him for internet access, I should be around more often now.
I'm not sure how much more poetry I'll be writing, but it's good to know that if I do, you'll be there to read it! ;D Thanks again for your kind and encouraging feedback!
*hugs*

I'm also glad to see you around again, happy to hear that you got rid of the vertigo and are well again. One and a half months of vertigo must be hell, I can't even imagine. *shudders* And of course yay, for your own computer.
*hugs* Would it be okay to friend you, btw?

I am so, so, SO sorry I haven't responded to your lovely comment sooner! I never had a chance to read it before I left on a business trip with my husband last Tuesday, or I would have written back immediately! Since getting back on Saturday, I've been playing catch up with neglected chores and an overgrown and underwatered garden! Yesterday, was Hubby's day off (and it's rare when he gets the chance to actually take it) so we spent the day playing and then went to a movie (Angels and Demons) last night, so this is my first chance for some computer time!
I am so pleased you liked the poem! You put your finger on it exactly since I was trying to tell Orli and Sean's story through poetry. I'm glad it came across for you.
Thank you for welcoming me back so sweetly and for your concern about my health. I appreciate it very much, hon. Vertigo is very nasty to deal with, especially when it refuses to go away, but I am definitely doing fine now, and if it follows it's usual pattern, (It only hits me like that every five or six ( ... )

Please, don't worry about getting back to me just now. That's RL and in your case a very busy one. :) I'm happy to hear that you were having a good time and also found some down time with your Hubby. (Esp. as the Vertigo must have put things on hold for a while.)
*hugs and loves back*

Yes, down time with my husband is rare to come by! He's the Fire Chief where we live, so many of his days off are given up to deal with unexpected issues that always seem to crop up. Now that he is also going for his Doctorate, our free time has been cut back even more. When we get the chance to spend the day together with no other commitments, we grab it! We'll actually be going out of town again on Thursday, this time for fun, though. We're taking a three day trip to our favorite little town across the mountain, so I'm really looking forward to it!
