I have the cutest little girl taking my evening class with her mom. She's only six, but is tall, and is really into the whole thing!

oh, these cakes look very nice. I'd wish they'd give cake decorating classes over here.
A week before Berber was born I bought all kind of cake and cookie decorating stuff and was planning on baking a lot of cookies to practice, but all week it had been too warm weather to be busy in the kitchen. My birthday is in two weeks, that's a good moment to start, it should be fun to serve my guests a home decorated cake!

Wow, those are cool. I like the 2nd birthday one.

What is "gel transfer"?

You find a picture you like, in this case a rainbow, or burger logo, or something from a coloring book, or clip art, or whatever. Then you place a piece of wax paper over it, and use piping gel to trace over it. You then flip the wax paper onto the cake, and lightly press over the gel bits, so that some of it sticks to the cake. Then you peel the wax paper off, leaving an outline on the cake. Then you use that to decorate over it. The gel is just for your guidelines - you aren't supposed to see the gel when you're done.

Does that explain it okay?

Oh wow, cool! So you'll get a mirror-image flip, so a two-step process with two pieces of wax paper will fix that if it's important. Have I got it?

Wow, those are really fantastic. You must be a really great teacher. I wish we were closer so that me and the girls could have lessons.
