the best thing about easter is that they show the ten commandments on television, the one with charles heston and yul brynner that is ridiculous and awesome in all its 1956 technicolor splendor. really takes me back to my childhood, when i believed fervently in lavish stage productions -- the only thing this movie is missing is a musical number --
