Having watched the whole exchange, Gabe offered Charlotte a quietly amused smile.

"Yeah, they are," he agreed. He'd been through plenty of his own experiences with a few of the younger years already.

Returning the amused smile, Charlotte tucked a strand of her wavy, blonde hair behind her ear.

"I don't think I was ever like that when I was that little." Her nose wrinkled up, "At least I hope not," she said after a short pause.

"Never know," he answered wryly, turning the page in his book slowly.

"But I doubt it," he admitted, knowing she was generally too kind-hearted to be truly snippy with anyone.

Charlotte laughed, turning slightly in her chair. "True," she nodded and shrugged.

"I'm glad, then. I think I just might have to feel bad about being that way. Though, I wouldn't know exactly to who I was being snippy. Besides, they've already graduated if they were my age when I was a first year," she shrugged again before making a face.

"..That was a bit confusing, wasn't it?" She asked shaking her head, as if to say never mind.
