I keep getting this random pop-up on another lot "Bella Goth is getting pretty old and won't live forever. Now might be a good time to consider paying a visit to Bella Goth!" but she's been dead for a while now ( Read more... )

When you take a ghost to the Science Lab the game terms as being restored- this means they can walk in the upper world - 24 hours a day- They will age and they will return to the Netherworld once they become elders and their time is up ( ... )

I didn't know what the Ambrosia did, I have plenty of cooking sims that know how to make it though.

I have the buyable lifefruit, fish and the faster skilling books already.

Thanks for the help, I could've used that earlier when I accidentally killed off my sim!

I have to say that I love that you named a sim Jack O'Neill if he was made after the SG1 character.

He was. I also had Samantha Carter, Teal'c...Daniel Jackson...the whole shebang.

Even Cameron Mitchell and Vala Maldoran. :D

Just feed Jack Ambrosia- If Bella is already an elder - it might not work for her- I am not sure on that - I have been playing Mortimers Aunt- Agnes Crumplebottom and Eric Darling her dead husband- haven't had the science opp pop up yet - waiting cause he is a drowned ghost- they don't eat leftovers like the starvation ghosts do- they sleep all the time so in order to feed him ambrosia - I have to get the Science Lab opp- I miss my influence points !

My game takes forever to save, too. It stinks. At least with Sims3 versus Sims2 after it saves it goes back to play mode so if you're distracted before coming back things will progress anyway.

I have some Sims that died of old age, and were brought back as ghosts by Science. They went through the Elder stage again, then went to the Netherworld, saying they can no longer be restored. I tried with another Sim that had the "Oh My Ghost" and it didn't work. :(

Now they hang around as unplayable ghosts, and do amusing things. But I'm wondering, assuming I learn how to make Ambrosia someday, what will it do to ghosts that supposedly cannot be restored? Can they even eat it? Or is it only for playable ghosts?

Yes, I am getting the messages that my Sims are getting old and won't be around forever. But the next night, they're haunting my house again. Heh.

And yeah, I've got the patch, no mods, and sometimes it takes forever to save, sometimes it goes real quick. I think it has something to do with how many changes you've made since the last save point.
