I guess that white wasn't the best word... but they're very proud of their white-ness... I dunno how to describe it. They're not blatantly racist, but close. I really should have picked a better word. *realizes this a bit too late* When we got there, there was a group of them drinking and smoking outside, and one of them asked, "Who's the chink?" It made me feel... icky.
Oh... I get you now. I was trying to figure out if I had any habits or views that would make someone uncomfortable. I can totally understand feeling uncomfortable in the face of that sort of attitude. I attended an all Native American high school and got that sort of reaction more than a few times.
*hugs* I know no offense was intended, Day. ♥ I can say I know you better than that. I was truly, genuinely curious.
No.. that was just a really stupid thing for me to say, and I apologize. I should have thought that one through a bit more - I tend to type how I think - and although some things don't sound wrong to me, the people reading them don't know what I mean. Something like that is offensive, whether I intended it that way or not. I'm really sorry. ♥
I am so so happy for you, Day! I can picture so well you just beaming, surrounded by cakes and old ladies and dresses. I remember going to a show with M and my Mom and I got to wear the little sticker that said 'Maid of Honor' and my sister had the one that said 'Bride'. And she just adored it more than anything else. I am so glad that you are able to feel the same way. It is such a wonderful thing to be able to witness the immense joy of someone that you adore. ☆
You sound so excited and gleeful that I can't help but be excited for you, Day! :D I'm really glad you had fun with your mom - it sounds like you're gearing up for a great celebration! ♥
(Blegh, it's horrible how ignorant some people are. :/ It makes me sick that you had to put up with some of that. SHUSH, I read other comments. I'm not a stalkery type, I swear! ♥~!)
You should be taking pictures of you in the dresses! So you can see how you look in a different way than just looking in the mirror, and SO SOME OF US CAN SEE THESE DRESSES YOU ARE TRYING ON.
This was just a spur-of-the-moment thing, so we didn't bring the camera. My mom and I are going to the two shops in our area tomorrow, and the camera is already set to go. So if you pick up your phone and hear a bunch of squealing, you'll know I've found "the dress."

what do you mean very white? I'm not offended in any way; I'm just genuinely curious.

(It makes me sad that some people just don't... get it. That's not stalker-type at all - I get curious and read other comments all the time!)
