This pairing is really growing on me. I love the idea of Myrcella being Joffrey's weakness, that she could bring another side of him (nice and gentle but only to her) and that he would listen to her advice. He's still the same Joffrey but the fact that he allows her to voice her opinion it's very telling.

Thank you! And you hit right on why I love them, too. I like the idea of Myrcella playing a role in what happens around her, even if no one but Joffrey is aware of it.

I'm in love with this fic ! And with the pairing. I love the fact that while Joffrey is cruel and cold with almost everyone he has soft side that only Myrcella sees. And I love the fact that they are doing the exact same things their parents did. I actually would love to see how Cersei would react if she knew. Great job !

The potential Joffrey/Myrcella have as a 'history repeating' to Jaime/Cersei is what intrigues me most, personally, but I also love the idea that what we see of Joffrey in the series may not be the end of his personality. I mean, everyone has something in their life that they would act irrationally for, so why can't Myrcella be that for Joffrey?

There really should be more fics about them. You should help me out with that, I think. ;)

I totally agree with you about Joffrey's personality. I think his character was made for people to have someone to hate and even if this hate is well-deserved, people often forget that Joffrey is human too and I think that Myrcella could be his humanity. The only person he really loves, his only weakness. He would everything he could to keep her safe, and to keep her with him.
(I don't know why but he makes me think about Damon Salvatore in the first season of The Vampire Diaries. Everyone sees him like a monster but Elena discovers his humanity and we see him having a soft spot for her. But in the same time he's capable of doing extreme things when he is angry -like when he feeds her with his blood and threatens to turn her-)

I think Myrcella is the only one who could see the real Joffrey, to understand him and to help him be a bit less of a psycho we see in the series.

And I'm definitely thinking about writing them ...
