I think that's kind of bullshit.
I've never been in a relationship where I haven't always sorta kinda been thinking about what else is out there (even if I'm head-over-heels into the guy).
I've also gotten hung up on some missed opportunities and shit like that;
and I don't think either one of those is because I'm a girl.

Gender binaries are so much more harmful than they are accurate. I think they prevent many a potentially happy relationship.

"Gender binaries are so much more harmful than they are accurate."

Agreed, agreed, agreed.

Who is this sessa character, and why does he think that he can speak for his entire gender?! I join mya87 in calling bullshit. I think sessa's attitude is condescending and provincial, and therefore quite offensive. I know plenty of men who are not "thinking about all the pussy they missed out on" once they are in a relationship. There are plenty of men out there who would rather have a girlfriend than a one-night-stand; there are plenty of men out there who are psyched to have a fabulous woman on their arm who is loving and committed. And of course there are women who are wondering about all the great penis they are missing out on while they are hanging out with their boyfriends, but EVERYONE has those thoughts at some point or another, no matter how wonderful their relationship is.

ARGHHGHRGHRHGHGRHGHGH I fucking hate ignorant sexist stereotypes.

Oh! And I also bristle at the implication that women in general are sitting around saying "what happened to so-and-so from way back when." What, women are unable to "walk their own path" because they're "all stuck all anchored down to some boy"?! WTF, are you kidding me? Yes, it can be detrimental to one's mental/emotional well-being to be mired in the past, but MEN do this as well! In fact, I have personally encountered more men than women who tend to hold on to their past loves, etc. I definitely agree with the sentiment of moving forward and forging your own path, but let's not get too caught up in generalities, ok?!

And let me guess- sessa is single.
