I really haven't lost any close family members in my lifetime, and it's just hit me when Grandaddy went into the hospital that this was the case. Not sure how well I'll handle it when the time comes, y'know.

I have no exact words to describe, but I'd say this falls somewhere between a 3am subway station and tossing wine off an empty cliff. There's just this feeling of... emptiness? absence? Crashing together to fill a too-big space. Am-AZing.

(fiy, Cameron surreptitiously points out Chase entrance into the hall--I think you're missing a " 's" there.)
