Ditto! I could pay off my 3 credit cards or put a small dent in my student loan. So....not gonna change much beside my personal finances unless I really wanted to be charitable.

Heh... Charity begins at home! I can't afford to eat or drive to work at the moment. £6.5K would go a long way towards fixing that!

I wish I could get my husband to understand you have to tighten your belts sometimes.. so I just have to say we have no money or figure a way around his wants..

Saying "We have no money" actually works better if you can actually show him a bank balance with nothing in it...
