Sometimes, Life Involves Giant Robots

Today is such a day. Wonder Man goes flying as he's backhanded and the invasion of Stanton Island continues!

New York and Jersey were just the kind of places that Giant Robots liked to destroy. Curiosity bordering on the morbid side enticed Cindy to keep the giant robot in sight. Even living where she had, she had never seen anything like it before! She had lived a plainly normal and bland life. She worked as a secretary in a little business not more than a short drive from her parents house.

She was only nineteen. And so far, nothing amazing or wonderful or fantastic had ever happened to her. And now, it was coming this way! Which wasn't so much wonderful or fantastic as it was terrifying. Trying to run with the crowd of people, she couldn't make it away fast enough wearing the shoes she was. She tripped and fell. She was going to become nothing more than paste on the bottom of a robotic foot at this rate!

He shakes off the hit and sees the shadow. There's a woman and she's -

Wooosh!

"Er, sorry for meeting like this," he says as they fly above the city at 60 miles per hour.

At that moment, Cindy wasn't exactly thinking clearly. Her mind was still on the ground about to become Giant Robot mash, "Oh my gosh, ohmygosh, ohmygosh...."

And cue the tight clinging. And the realization that she wasn't dead! This guy had just saved her life! And she couldn't think of anything better to say than chanting 'ohmygosh...'

Doesn't matter what the woman looks like. It's how they smell, how they move, and the fact that he loves saving women. It's just fun to be someone's hero.

"Hi." Evasive maneuvers and the robots keep swatting! "Hang on!"
