Thanks for the link. I can definitely see why actors would want (and deserve) privacy. Interesting article but this made me smile "He's too wiry to be eye candy." They obviously don't know about the fangirls/fanboys.
Poor guy. He has every right to be grumpy. I have a lot of respect for him for not sucking up to producers and can't honestly blame him for flipping out at people who get in his face. I can imagine all of that stuff is immensely painful for someone as emotionally sensitive as he is (and I don't mean that in a bad way--if he wasn't sensitive, he wouldn't be able to portray emotion as well as he does). Hope he gets to build that moat one day.
=/ I hate that he feels underappreciated and bitter but I really think he's better than Hollywood. Everything he touches turns to gold but it seems like most things that Hollywood touches turn to shit. I would hate for Hollywood to ruin him.
I think it's time for me to write my first fan letter ever. Do you guys think he even gets around to reading them? I know he sends back signed photos but I don't really care about an autograph. I just want to make him smile. xD;
"I've reached a zenith of it with Life on Mars. It's driving me crazy. There were people queuing at The Bush to get me to sign DVD box sets, and I probably gave them fairly short shrift. I don't open fan mail anymore. I've got piles of it, which is not a boast, but a fact, and I just can't be bothered with it. The whole thing becomes a bit narcissistic after a while. I've run out of photos and I'd be there for months reading it, so I just don't look."
Ohhh, shut down. But, eh, thinking I might send it anyway. If he doesn't read it, he doesn't read it, no harm done. If he does, cool. It can't hurt, right? >.o
