I'm trying to embrace uncertainty, partly because I don't have a choice. It doesn't come naturally to me. However, I now realize, in a way, that is the only way to change anything in life and make it better: embrace uncertainty. It's a hard lesson, but also includes a lot of joy.

This is a much more charitable thought than I usually have for controlling people, but it's also true. Letting go of that compulsion to control can be very freeing.
