Mahi mahi?

So. Grilled today. My usual house special, grilled salmon with creole seasoning, turned out just fine. The experimental addition, mahi mahi marinated in italian dressing, was at best OK. It seems to be a very versatile fish, not terribly "fishy" and it flakes nicely... oh, and it's cheap. So I'd like to find a good recipe for grilling it. The ( Read more... )

Mahi Mahi, being very meaty and steak-like, tends to need a strong marinade to impart flavor. I suggest something like teriyaki or some other soy-based marinade. That particular fish also works well with tropical fruits -- mango, papaya, pineapple -- a salsa made with any of those would rock.
