In 1998, I waited in a long, long line to vote for Feingold who won a narrow victory. The dems didn't win anything back, but at least Feingold and Wellstone were still in the Senate ( Read more... )

The Endangered Species Act???!! Talk about "No Child Left Behind" for the environment. I need to check this Blog more often. Unfunded mandates rarely succeed. Either do animals on this list. Nixon's and Bush's environmental platform are at least in sync, "come on guys, cut it out." In addition, does the ESA not resemble a platonic ecological viewpoint: perfection is now? Was it all leading to this, history's perfection of the species population? When the Woolly Mammoth died, history did become a little more interesting. Admittedly, I struggle between the definition of gluttony and conservation. Yet, I also contributed to the 2000 Nader campaign, with was the height of gluttony. Thank god for the 2006 fall elections.
