Too much for my first day of work! If that scene earlier wasn't bad enough, the rest of the day was even worse! And I really mean WORSE! Cho Kyuhyun over there was in his grumpy mode all day that I can't help but get nervous. In result, I keep on making mistakes that he kept on scolding me. He’s too much! I can’t believe he’s that mean.
Though throughout the day I somehow managed to cover all my feelings for him with anger, I don’t even know why I bothered helping him last night! And those feelings.. I can’t believe I even lo..wait, no! I can’t believe I even thought that I had feelings for him. Because knowing who he really is.. it’s definitely impossible for me to feel such towards him.
My thoughts were cut off when I heard Siwon calling me. Looks like he noticed that I was pissed off so he walked towards me, trying to cheer me up with a cup of coffee.
I happily accepted the cup and sip a bit from the hot liquid. “mmm.. this is good.. Thank you Siwon-ssi you don’t have to do this.. really.” I gave him a big smile showing him my gratitude.
“That’s nothing. And also, I came here because I wanted to tell you something. “ His cheerful face suddenly turned into a serious one, tickling my curiosity to bloom so I nodded immediately urging him to go on.
“I know it’s hard but I hope you’ll try to understand my brother.”
I was confused at first but was shocked after a few seconds of realizing what he meant.
“Cho Kyuhyun?! Cho Kyuhyun is your brother?!.” My eyes went wide upon my realization and tensing up knowing that it means Siwon’s also my boss.
Looks like he noticed this so he assured me its fine, flashing me his trademark smile, making my tension ease a bit.
“Im so sorry. I really didn’t know Sir Siwon-ssi. I can’t definitely see it with your attitudes.” I immediately covered my mouth, realizing what I’ve just said. “Oh I’m so sorry, I mean he’s your brother, I shouldn’t have said that. I’m just really tired from all the work, I’m really sorry Sir.” I keep on bowing down, embarrassed of my big mouth. I could be really careless with my words at times.
He just smiled gesturing me to stop. “No, no it’s fine. I know that guy can be really annoying! Plus I told you to cut off with the honorifics right?!.” He scolded playfully making me bow my head lower.
He just chuckled a bit before continuing. “Actually, that’s why lately his secretaries wouldn’t last long. No one can endure his temper.” He’s still trying to laugh but I can see the sadness in his eyes. I can see his concern for his brother.
“That’s why I hope you’ll try to understand him. He wasn’t really used to be like this. He used to be really cheerful and nice to everyone. It just all changed when..” he paused for a bit, turning his face into a frown. So I try to pat his back hoping that it can ease the sadness even for just a little. He then smiled again and sipped a little from his cup of coffee and then continued. “It all changed when he left him.”
“He?” I asked trying to know more about this guy who seems to be the reason for Kyuhyun’s change of character. I know I shouldn’t be interfering with his personal life but I can’t help thinking about this “guy”. What’s funny is I keep on feeling this thing in my heart which I can’t describe. What do you even call this? It’s like little needles pinching my heart one by one.
“Are you jealous?”
“What?!?!” I was startled with Siwon suddenly looking me straight in the eyes.
“No. no no nno.. ww why why would i? why would.. no!”
Siwon just chuckled back at me that I realized I was stuttering.
“No need to be so defensive. I was just kidding.” He kept on laughing that I so wanted to melt at that moment. I wonder what’s with this day that I kept on being placed in this situation. I blushed and bowed my head down trying to hide my cherry-colored face.
I was relieved when he said that he needs to go, I had enough embarrassment this day, I don’t know if I could still take more of it.
Siwon was about to go, but then turned his face again.
“You know what, I really like you. I hope you’ll last long in this company.”
I was flattered with his statement that it made me smile. “With a great person like you, I’m sure I will” then he gave me a hug making me feel more comfortable
“Thanks! I really feel comfortable around you. I hope you could be my little brother. I always loved to have one.”
“But isn’t Sir Kyuhyun your younger brother??” I asked him, confused of his statement.
“Oh that guy! Most of the time he acts as if he’s even older than me! He’s too mature that he doesn’t need his big brother.” He then showed a cute sad pouty face making me laugh.
For a minute I almost forgot that he’s also my boss. “I’m sorry but still you’re my boss and..”
“Aish! If you don’t cut with the honorifics I’ll fire you!” my eyes suddenly widen upon hearing him. And he just replied with a series of laughter. “I’m just kidding! You’re so serious!”
And then again, I’m at that “situation”.
“So it’s a deal okay?! Call me Hyung from now on. Bye dongsaeng!” Before I could protest he already ran out of the room leaving me with no choice. I sat on my chair trying to absorb all of the things that happened, but then a huge smile appeared on my face. Working here is actually not bad at all.
