A few weeks ago, there was the Daum/Naver fiasco, with lots of flailing and accusations of racism and xenophobia. It all led to the creation of

I can understand pay sites/TSR want to be exclusive because they are greedy poopooheads. But why is it a problem to share other's free work if the file has a label/title and credit to original creator? CC creators should be happy when people across the world have an interest in what they made, not angry!
What the result is people who want to get involved, make stuff and share their things are discouraged to even start because of these unfriendly attitudes.

The first one is one I've seen on GoS and some at MTS2. When this fiasco went down, there were a lot of people with loose ToS's at GoS. They were fine with their stuff being uploaded at other places with credit, but they themselves only uploaded at GoS. In fact, a lot of them were upset that their stuff was being uploaded at Daum/Naver, not because it was only for friends, but because Daum/Naver stuff was not allowed for them.
The second one is people who only share stuff among their friends at forums and don't allow it to be shared with anyone else. Simbella, DAUM, and so on.
I personally don't get it either. I wish that someone would share my lousy crappy sim. Hell, I'd be glad if someone drooled over my stuff so much that they're begging other people to upload it at another forum because of language difficulties. "French people love my stuff that much? OHMAHGAWD!!!"
