Title: The End is the Beginning Author: Fadesintothewest Rating: General Warning: Character Death Story Summary: Death is only another beginning for Fingon, for the prompt, "The End is the Beginning"
Yet his body had been the canvas that expressed Fingon in life. It was the canvas on which Maedhros’ love was made manifest. It was better not to be reminded of that.
I think you have done an excellent job here of expressing the pain and the waiting. I would very much entertain the idea of reading further in this story verse. I do hope that you continue with this story soon.
I love the way in which you contrast Fingon's relentless courage that seemed a natural part of his first life and the fear which meets him when he continues into the new consciousness of his new life.
I do have ideas for this story, and I will continue it. I just need to tie up some stories that have been waiting to be completed. I am glad that it worked and that you enjoyed it! Thanks for the review!
I liked this quite a lot. The feelings of doubt and disquiet, the internal debate of worthiness and why he was released from the halls, and the motion - the constant motion until he couldn't pass the gates of Lorien, it all sounded so plausible. This was a delight to read.
Oh I am glad you like it! Whenever I write what are new areas of Tolkien's work, it always takes me a while to get a hang of the area and try to work through what he has written, though sometimes i just write and pay less attention to what kernels he has left for us. Thanks for the review!
