I'm totally getting all stupid tinhatty (wtf auto correct tried to change that to tungsten) over those two. And YES to loving when he calls him Steven. I was just rewatching the pilot and Steve's little smile the first time he calls him Danno made me make noises only dogs can hear.

ME TOO. It's, like, gay cop foreplay or something. I swear to God, though, if Steve goes and calls Danny "Daniel" I MIGHT JUST BURST OPEN WITH FLUFFY PINK HEARTS.

I think Danny does it to try to either be a) funny, b) sarcastic, or c) "I AM TRYING TO BE A SERIOUS COP AND NOT COMMIT ACTS OF HOMICIDE."

Only it just comes off as amazingly gay and married and WHERE IS THE FIC OF STEVE CALLING DANNY "DANIEL", SERIOUSLY.

I've been meaning to watch this show, actually, just haven't physically find the time. Maybe in this next couple of weeks while TVD is on hiatus...

The show is completely unrealistic and ridiculous, but if you're a fan of the traditional buddy-cop slash pairings then you'll likely love the fandom. Steve/Danny is very much in tradition of Jim/Blair (The Sentinel), Ray/Fraser (Due South), and John/Rodney (SGA). ♥
