I think Elena with the number 2 pencils of doom are my favorite part of the show so far, full stop.

Also, not to be creepy, but your journal is also my favorite new thing. VAMPIRE DIARIES. \o/ PEOPLE TALKING ABOUT VAMPIRE DIARIES. \o/ I need more of this in my life. Hope its okay if I friend you!

I adore this. I love Anna pushing away her minion-lover because she's trying to read now, kay thanks. And the Sheriff looking at the body all matter-of-factly, while the guy (Logan?) next her appears nauseous. Our ladies are so awesome!

I missed Caroline a little, though she doesn't get physical in really helpful ways, and only rarely shuts people down, so I get why she would be hard to work in. (The only times that come to mind are in "Unpleasantville" when she and Bonnie walk off when he approaches, and when she yells at Matt for being dumb about their potential relationship.)

But I love this!

heeeeeee. Anna: "You lacked purpose. You needed me."

I really love that you referenced that Sheriff & Logan moment, because I so loved it! Grimacing & covering his face as she's all srs bizness.

I should have added Caroline notes to my vidding notes above. (I originally intended to give nothing, but then in the end I added that 1 scene where she passes over the crystal because it was a moment of instrumentality and wanted to capture another scene between 2 women.) But, yes, though I don't dislike her character I primarily I intentionally wanted to keep Caroline in the prologue because my interpretation of the text has been that both Caroline & Matt have generally functioned on TVD as the Outsider POV and as examples of human victims. Caroline & Matt often are passive, reacting to traumatic events in Mystic Falls-- but I think that's a valuable role within the story, because they put a personal face on the consequences that befall every-day citizens of the town while our main characters engage in their power plays. It's just that ( ... )

That makes perfect sense.
