And people who are much wiser and maturer than they were a year ago should not spend their time wallowing in the past ( Read more... )

You know, I can see how far you've come just by reading your journal entries, and you know what else? You should be proud of yourself.

And on a much more childish note: Nobody told me I can't act 13 now I turned 30, that's seams terribly unfair, what's the point in being grown up if you can't act childish? :D

Thank you so much :) If someone had told me last year what I would be like in the future, I would never have believed them, which makes me feel all the more proud that I've got from someone utterly dependent on her heroines for happiness and comfort, whose life revolved around this one particular issue, to someone with so many different, really positive things going on in their life, who can cope with the utterly crap (which it really can be right now) and still be happy, truly happy, from the inside out. It's lovely to know someone else can see it too, and took the time to tell me :)

I was totally thinking the same thing about being childish as I was typing that :D It's a throwback to an LJ entry title which pretty much summed up how I felt about my deputy head then; that she was being immature in all the worst ways, and it just felt kinda fitting :D

I am sure at 30 I will be even more immature than I am now :P

OMG. totally awesome idea that i do for when i feel kinda suckish:

when i get bored i put random amounts of money in pockets of clothing i'm not gonna wear for a while.

then when i'm feeling totally depressed or whatever and i put on my comfy jeans i find a random tenner :)

of course, this only works when you have money(which i don't) and the lack of money may cause you to be even more depressed.

this then means you are sad and poor and feel worse than you did originally :(

yesterday my friend gave me back the £10 they owe me and i had no pockets, so i put it in my bra. then when i was annoyed after doing revision, i was getting ready for bed and i found £10 that i forgot i had :) this was less planning and more pure forgetfulness on my part, but still.. it made me giggle at my own stupidity.

money may not buy happiness. but it can buy m&s cookies, which are basically the same thing :)

do you know where i can buy a life? :P

That is such a great idea. Except then my money would go in the wash... oh! I could put money in clean clothes! I'ma go withdraw £50 in £10 notes and put it in my favourite clothes :D

M&S cookies = God feeling guilty life is so crap and making it worth living.

Lives, I am aware, can be bought from The Life Shop, next to The Sibling Exchange Auction House.
