Don't know much about them games, but it does seem like he gets the rotten end off the deal? :-) Gorgeous art as always. And is that wings of blood I see there? ;-) Sure looks like it.

Yes and no. He starts out pretty rotten, kidnapped by an evil organization and all, but throughout the whole ordeal he finally finds his own path in the end.
And yes, that's the idea, with the whole assassins/eagle symbolism they use throughout the series. :)
