Have been down with an evil cold the last few days, going through the various stages of fever, vast amounts of snot and coughing and feeling generally sorry for myself. Hoping very much this one won't migrate into my lungs like that cold in India did, since that would very much suck.
Cross your fingers for me.

Yeah, I remember drinking ginger tea in India... I should try to get some. Good idea. :)

Aww, I hope you get better soon! Try and get lots of rest! (Baah, you probably know all the traditional remedies, you don't need a lesson from me...)
Wow, as much as you seem to find it annoying, the crosshatching turned out really well on this! Ooooh dramatic lighting. I must study this. (When I'm not studying all this other stuff... I'm in college now and there's a LOT to do!)
I suddenly realize that I now have a Paypal account with money sitting in it, and this picture makes me desperately want a commission.

Here's hoping. I do feel progressively better, although it would be much nicer if my body could just stop oozing slime, thank you. XD
Glad you like it! The light and shadows aren't entirely correct (the candles totally weren't a last minute-addition, swear) but the mood's nice?
Best of luck with that! What are you studying? :)
XD Really, now?
I'm probably going to be very busy up ahead with move and other things, so I don't know if I'll be able to take on any more commissions. As always I'm open to discuss the idea, though - if it's something straightforward that I don't need references for, I might be able to squeeze something in there. :)

I'm going to be studying creative writing. (First-semester freshman can't get into the program, since you have to apply for it.) Right now I've got an assortment including art history, introductory psychology, and Japanese history, plus a first-year seminar (required, uuurgh). The former three are fun, but with LOTS of reading.
Perhaps not entirely straightforward (a couple of original characters), so I can wait. :) You've got a lot on your plate, so take it easy and just do one thing at a time!

The book on cold remedies in the Orient is just fascinating. He will have to look more into this acupuncture and its needles some time, and he hunces over the pages, safe in his favorite chair with two blazing candles to give him light to see the illustrations by.
So many needles...
And then the magic happens.
The blade.
The sudden blade against his neck, the harsh grip on his shoulder, both forcing him upright and back, and the doctor tilts his head back with a sigh, completely relaxed and oh.
He doesn't know what he has done, but he hopes it has earned him needles.

Pretty much yes, yes indeed. Methinks the good doctor has a good evening ahead of him. X3
