Had my first diagnostic meeting today. They think I present a "complex picture" (I suspect because of the coping/masking mechanisms I've acquired over 50 years - I've learned theory of mind and a degree of empathy), but have a sufficient amount of autistic traits to progress to further investigation. You're an aspy? Interesting. Which tests did you try?

I did the Baron-Cohen ASQ (scored 40). I started to look into it after I came near a breakdown in 2012, when I was working in the Business School. It brought a lot of things to the surface. I'm now going through an assessment process with the local Adult Autism team, after getting my GP to refer me.
