So that's it kids, no more Funk Nites for Ian; Ever. (The DJ is goin' back to school full time next year and has given up the gig *tear

MUS 169a - History and appriciation of Funk through the ages MUS 169b - In depth study of Funk and its related art forms (dance, etc) also, MUS170 - Applied Funk
169a and 169b would have to be the same course, just in different semesters. You'd have to make it 169a/b for the first one, and then 170a/b for the second one and then maybe the Applied Funk could be a 200-level course...269 (full course!!). (Although any of these ideas for MUS 170 sound MUCH better than the current MUS 170 which is Music Of The World II.)
Talk to Diane, get her on board and then draw something up for her to take to Dr. Doerksen. He'll sign anything she puts in front of him without even looking at it!! Hahaha...ohhh, Johnny-D!!
Can I come on this roadtrip because I am never going to experience Funk Night if he is leaving next year? I have heard great things...except maybe from Nikki...lol. SOunds like you had a blast. xo Alex
a: the DJ is a she b: funk night is great. it's just not for me any more. in its glory days, i was in my element c: if you come down on a wednesday just to experience funk night, i'll come up and go once more, and see if the much smaller crowd can help the night redeem itself d: sunday nights at call the office is Raygun (80s night) and it is just as fun , AND will be going on next year :-)
Yeah, in it's hayday when it was just the keener music kids, Chris J., the chick who can dance up a storm and the tall dude with glasses with the mad b-boy skills and the other various randoms, Funk Nite was seriously outstanding; Now it's got almost too popular, if you know what I mean,
And yes, Raygun is uber-sweet aswell - takes me back to my childhood :)
