Yes, I was excited to see this! I like Biden. Always have! Not feeling too happy with his party in Delaware at the moment, but that's mainly Minner's fault. Biden has always been one that I was happy to support. I like his politics for the most part and was hoping he'd get the nomination. Him or the lady governor, but particularly him. I think he'll offset any negatives and weaknesses Obama has nicely. And who knows, be president later on? ^_^

*hugs* And long time no see! How are you? Hope I can catch you on again soon! Though this semester is going to be jam packed for me! Hope to catch you soon! See ya! *glomps and runs*

socialist != USSR. I see it as govt regulation/support of industries so manufacturing can stay in the country keeping people employed and Exxon doesn't rape families for the gas money to commute to work. I think state ownership of certain necessary industries (for example, mass transportation including train and air) is a reasonable approach. I'm all for social freedom including gun ownership provided proof of firearm safety training is on file. I'm ideally an anarchist, but I don't have enough faith that my fellow humans will not fuck each other over if there is no imposed authority structure.

Is there a better name for this point of view that I am unaware of? Because "Democrat" isn't the word for it. ;)

Well, certainly, if he had chosen Kucinich, the Dems would be sure to steal away those voters who care deeply that our country should be led by homely old men with extremely hot, young wives. ;)

I wish more people were talking about what will happen to the Supreme Court, and what issues are hanging in the balance, with the next election. Dubya may try to influence the future with his executive powers, and they can be reversed, but if "Bush Light" gets to finish packing the court, we're all in trouble!
