More like the devil's work, if you believe in the devil. And what's worse, what possible way is there to hold this person responsible for his actions and, at the same time, find some love for him as a human being? And who will, or how will the justice system deal with the support group he had that led him to this dreadful act?

As an atheist and homo and whatnot... the dude is obviously crazy. The guy thought he was elijah the prophet. It is abominable that he decided to target a homosexual, but let's be honest. He's nuts. He would have killed anyone. I really can't blame social homophobia or religion on this incident. At least he's in Texas, so there's the possibility he'll fry (bet you anything the defense'll claim insanity though). Has anyone ever gotten the death penalty for a hate crime targeted against gays?

Not to my knowledge, though I think someone in Indiana is workng on it after the Aaron Hall murder, though they have no hate crimes legislation. It's a toss-up in Texas whether this clown will be sent to The Chair or given 5 years in the pen. It is Houston, the suspect is definitely off his rocker, and there appears to be community outrag over the crime, but it is still Texas.
