I've created my own comm!

Yes I've finally done it and created my own LJ community. It's a community for the chronically ill to share their creative work, and can be found here: chronic_creator

I've always found it therapeutic to write poetry (whether it's good or bad!) and think it's useful for anyone suffering a chronic illness to express themselves if and when they have the energy.

You know I thought of you after making this post and wondered if I should have included people with disabilities too? So it would be a place for the chronically ill and the disabled to share their work - point being that both may feel an extra need to express themselves given their limitations.

What do you reckon? Do you think I should change the info to include disabilities? I'm thinking maybe yes.

Either way I'll let you in though, as a VIP, for being all kinds of awesome.

I think it's a good idea to change the info to include disabled people (and not just because I want to join I was joining regardless!.)

Obviously chronic illness and disability don't necessarily go hand in hand but as chronically ill people will use creativity as an outlet for their feelings, the same will and does apply to disabled people. So yes, hun, maybe open it up to include both.
