Yesterday I walked 6.27km/3.9mi while doing my normal workday stuff. The pedometer is cool. While doing all that walking, I also got a lot of things done around the property, which would explain the stiffness in my muscles today. Just wait till I get the hammer out and start swinging, in half an hour or so, or after some extensive stretching.

skincare advice: get some aloe vera gel. when you are fresh out of the shower (towelled off but still a bit moist) apply it all over your face and body, especially anywhere with rough or broken skin (the aloe heals cuts and abrasions really well, and moisturizes everywhere.) then apply your moisturizer over that (I use different stuff for my face because my face can't take heavy hand creams, it makes it a mess of clogged pores.)
thanks for the update - glad you are doing so well!

hands:
1. no, as in never no more, antibacterial soap. never. do you hear me?
2. what she said about aloe.
3. lavender oil.
4. Zum Body is a good thick lotion that helps with cracking. especially the lavender one, the rosemary one, or the frankincense one. UnPetroleum jelly is good on TOP of healing stuff to hold the moisture in.
5. MitzenWarmers or substitute. lovely flax and herb-filled bags in side thumbless fleece mittens. heat in the oven (200-225) for an hour. soak your hands for the last fifteen minutes of that hour in hot-ish water with lavender oil. dry hands (patting, not rubbing). apply olive oil, coconut oil, and/or thick lotion. can help to add glycerin (a humectant that pulls moisture to skin from the air, etc.) put on MitzenWarmers and relax until they cool down.
6. be kind and wear gloves during working.
the end.
